FST’s grants

FST Grant Call 2026 (info as pdf)

FST awards grants to support its members’ activities in toxicology, such as conference participation, training, and poster printing.

Who can apply?

FST members who have been members for at least one year. Student applicants may be considered with flexibility regarding membership length.

Eligibility requirements for applicants

  • the applicant has no unpaid FST membership fees
  • if previous FST grants were awarded, applicants must have fulfilled all reporting obligations
  • a previously awarded but unused grant must have been returned
  • must not have received an FST grant in the previous year

What can the grant be used for?

Grants can be awarded for activities related to toxicology, for example:

  • participation in scientific meetings or conferences, including virtual events
  • participation in training courses
  • poster printing costs

Daily allowances are not covered.

Applicants are expected to have an active role in the event, for example through a poster or oral presentation. In some cases, a grant may be awarded conditionally and paid after confirmation of acceptance.

Grant amount

The maximum individual grant is 900 EUR.
FST may award a smaller amount than requested.

How to apply

The call is open until 30.04.2026.

Applications must include:

  • purpose of the grant
  • description of your active contribution at the event
  • cost breakdown
  • information on other funding applied for or received for the same purpose

How applications are evaluated

Applications are processed by the FST Board. Board members will recuse themselves in cases of conflict of interest.

After the grant is awarded

The grant will be paid to the bank account provided in the application.

If the grant is not used, it must be returned to FST.

Grant recipients must submit a short free-form report on the use of the grant within one month after the funded activity. The report may be published in the society’s communications.
